Avoid people who are negative and spend time with positive people. This may sound trite, but it works. If you are around a person at work who constantly gossips or complains, this is directly affecting your mood. Remember that our brains are wired to focus on negativity rather than positivity. The way to change this is to alter your environment by avoiding negative people and by paying attention to your thoughts and behaviors. For Analytical Style people this means they should more forcefully declare their opinions and they should be more decisive. Instead of unnecessarily engaging in analysis paralysis, they should try to make decisions in a timely way. This will help their co-workers by insuring that projects move forward without unnecessary delay. They can also help others by clearly stating their opinions on issues. Oftentimes these individuals will be non-committal because of their fear of not doing things "right."
