While resilience skills are generally recognized as important for overall personal satisfaction and workplace culture, research also is documenting the connection between resilience skills and high job performance.  TRACOM is a leader in understanding resilience and how it can developed at the individual and organizational levels.  Our Resilience Model and training programs are based in research into cognitive behavior and organizational performance.  As a result people with high resilience skills outperform others in the workplace and their organizations achieve higher performance as well.

The Adaptive Mindset for Resilience Technical Report documents the development of and the research supporting the Resilient Mindset Model™ and assessment. Scores from this assessment are used as input to generate the Universal Multi-rater Profile as well as the Online Self-Perception Profile. This report is intended to accompany Adaptive Mindset for Resiliency facilitator materials, particularly the Developing a Resilient Mindset™ administration kit.

The technical report is organized as follows:  First we provide an overview of employee resiliency, including what it is and why it’s important. Then, we explain the development and validation process for the Resilient Mindset Model. You will learn that the Adaptive Mindset for Resiliency assessment was based on a thorough literature review as well as two rounds of data collection and statistical analyses.

Next, we present the most up-to-date research supporting the quality of the assessment instrument that measures the Model. The quality of this instrument is determined according to reliability and validity evidence. • Lastly, we describe the norms for the assessment and a training evaluation case.

The Adaptive Mindset for Resilience Technical Report is used as part of the Resilience certification process, where TRACOM provides facilitators with the knowledge needed to use our assessments and teach our programs.  The report is intended to be a companion to other facilitator materials.  By reviewing this report you will understand the important role that research plays in the Model. More importantly, you will gain an understanding of exactly how TRACOM ensures that our profiles are accurate and dependable.
